It is with heavy hearts that our family announce the passing of John Aldred on May 25, 2022.  John will forever be missed by his wife of 63 years, Jean; son, Steve (Sandi) Aldred; daughter, Jackie (Derek) Warmington; grand children, Alex (Crystal) Aldred, Anna (Doug) Cain, Emma (Khalen) Germain, Victoria (Brantley) Skoye, Evan Warmington, Hayley Warmington, and Erin Warmington and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Luke and Jack Aldred, Max and Calvin Cain, Valerie Skoye and Henrik Germain.

 

John was predeceased by his parents Jack & Ethel Aldred.

 

John was born in Altrincham, Cheshire, England on December 18, 1939.  His early family life was filled with love and devotion.  He remained close throughout his life to his sisters Joan, Tricia, Barbara, Kathryn, and Gaynor.

 

In his younger years, John was an accomplished soccer player in England and in Canada.  He was a devoted Manchester City fan throughout his life.

 

John brought his family to Canada with the hopes and dreams of a better future. He worked hard and created a beautiful life for his family filled with love and adventure.  He was so proud of all that they had accomplished.  

 

John was lovingly dedicated to his family. He was always willing and available to offer his help, support and advice to all those who needed it. 

 

His memory and legacy will forever live on in our hearts.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to the Stollery Childrens Hospital,  8440 112 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2B7.

 

A memorial service will be held at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m..
