It is with great sorrow that the family of Tom Barchuk announce his passing on March 12, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, John and Stella (Prestie) and his brothers, Orest and Lawrence. Tom is survived by his wife, Shalon; his children, Ashley, Brittany, Jeff, and Corey; and his grandson, Brandon.
Tom, born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, but resided in St. Albert for most of his life, seized everything that life had to offer. He was a loving husband and father, who never failed to make everyone he met laugh. His family and friends were the most important thing in the world to him. Tom started his own sod farming and landscape supply business, Tee Bar Sod Farms Ltd. in 1976, where he worked until his retirement in 2021. He worked hard his whole life, but always made time to spend with his family. Some of his hobbies included golfing, fishing, and trying to coach the Edmonton Oilers from his living room. Tom will be forever missed and forever loved.
