On February 1, 2024, Olga Buma of St. Albert, AB passed away suddenly at the age of 86. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband John of 60 years; sons Darren (Elaine) and Daryn (Heather); grandchildren Jason, Bradley, Tyson, Andrea, Carter, Andrew, Leigha and Willow; brother Bill (Ann); and many other close family and friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter Shelley, and five siblings.
Olga was born in Worsley AB. Graduating from the University of Alberta she became a school teacher and principal. Pausing her career to raise her family she returned to university to become a healthcare social worker, a profession that she loved and excelled in. After retirement she continued to work casually to the age of 82. Family and friends were most important to her, and she loved to host and entertain.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in the St. Albert Catholic Parish.
