1978 – 2021
Jason is lovingly remembered by Kristy Cunningham and his two boys, Cooper and Cody; parents, Dave and Donna; maternal grandparents Dave and Myrtle Hanks, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Jason was born and raised in Edmonton. He graduated from Strathcona Christian Academy in 1996 and went on to become a Journeyman Electrician. This was a field he worked in and was successful at for more than 18 years.
Jason and Kristy were married for 14 years and had two beautiful boys, Cooper and Cody. They were his greatest source of pride and achievement; Jason loved to spend time outdoors with the boys, fishing, camping and all types of water activities. He always had a passion for travel.
The last few years of Jason's life were a struggle for him and those around him. He battled with depression and struggled with addiction until the pain was too much to handle.
Now that Jason is at rest, we still hold him close within us. Please hold him close as we do, in your mind and spirit. Remember the meaning of this tragedy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, a livestream is available to accommodate current gathering restrictions.
