1940 – 2021
It is with deep sadness and love that the family of Sharon de Vries announce her peaceful passing on September 16 at the age of eighty-one years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty one years, Bill; children: Kimberly, Susan (Blair) and Ryan (Jenna); grandchildren: Gillian, Bryce and Finnley as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother, (Donald); and her parents; Edith Lyle and Burton Collins.
Sharon was born in Winnipeg Manitoba where she married Bill and started her family. They came to St. Albert in 1983 when Bill was transferred to the Shell Scotford Refinery. She raised her family while having a part time career in early childhood development. Sharon cared deeply for her family and friends and no time of the year meant more to her than Christmas when all her family came together.
The family is holding a private service for family and close friends only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of Laurier House Lynnwood in Edmonton as well as Dr. Angelina DeCicco of St. Albert for their compassion and care.
