It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our dear mother and Nanny, Joyce Dick.
Joyce passed away peacefully on Feb 12, 2022 at the Citadel Care Center at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth James and will be lovingly remembered by her children: Gord (Carol), Gail (Rosaire), Glenda (Dave), Greg (Pam); grandchildren: Kimberly, Brett, Blair, Trisha, Stacey, Laurel, and Mason, and 14 great grandchildren.
Joyce was born in Winnipeg MB where she met the love of her life, Ken. They started their 53 years together in Winnipeg and due to Ken’s career, they moved to Saskatoon, back to Winnipeg, off to Calgary and then retiring in Morinville. With each move they continually made lifelong friends of which Joyce cherished her time with each one of them.
Joyce always said she loved color, lots of color and she brought her love for color into her life. She immensely enjoyed her time at the lake, at the track with their racehorses, shopping, spending time with her family and puppies, and travelling. She loved to travel and spent many trips with Ken, her children, and her friends.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Citadel Care Center for their care and compassion given to Joyce. A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
Joyce’s advice to all was “To do what you can to be happy”
