It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Gregory “Greg” Drechsler, age 72,  on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Gail; sons Michael (Erika) and Andrew; granddaughters Hanna and Susan; brother Dennis (Barbara) along with brother-in-law Don (Terry Lynn) Johnstone; and niece Laura and nephew Bryan.

Greg loved his life and was a “people person”. He cherished his family and friends near and far. Greg and Gail explored the world along with family and good friends. He had a workshop full of carpentry tools that were put to good use and, of course, always enjoyed owning a special car.

Greg often used the phrase that his friend Barney always said, “Life is one continuing adventure!”

He always said he loved going to work every day and appreciated and valued his coworkers and friends at Factor Forms.

One of his last hopes was to spend time at the family cabin at the lake...his wish was to sit on that nice deck watching and joining in with everyone having a fun time.

A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o the Cross Cancer Institute https://giving.albertacancer.Donate or to a charity of your choosing.
