Eileen Grace Neilson was born October 29, 1930 in Bawlf, Alberta, and passed away peacefully at the Rivercrest Care Centre in Fort Saskatchewan on January 13, 2020 in her 89th year. Eileen is predeceased by her lifetime love and husband, Carl Neilson, with whom she spent her married life with in Bon Accord, Alberta and was also predeceased by her son, Randy Neilson. She will be sadly missed by those she spent her life positively impacting through acts of service and kindness. She will be dearly missed by her son, Louis Neilson; grandson Craig Neilson, his wife Nicole and their children, Eileen’s great grandchildren, Lucas & Lincoln. Her granddaughter, Sheena Neilson, who will forever be grateful for their lifelong and close relationship; as well as numerous extended family and dear friends. Eileen was known to keep our files of life in good working order, and ensured the glassware of love was always sparkling and bright. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the wonderful caring and compassionate staff at Rivercrest Care Centre, as well as Home Instead Seniors Care who helped Eileen’s life be comfortable and joyful wherever possible over these past few years.
In keeping with Eileen's wishes, no memorial service will be held, but Eileen's ashes will be spread with Carl's on a quarter section of land they felt passionate about. In lieu of flowers, donations if so desired may be made to a charity of your choice while also remembering dear family members or friends that you lost and miss.
