It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Fred Esslinger of Edmonton, formerly St. Albert on June 23, 2023 at the age of 90.
He will be missed by his children, Diane Esslinger, Louise (Larry) Strilchuk, Larry Esslinger, Paul (Noriyo) Esslinger, and Frank Esslinger; grandchildren, Kevin Pasini, Amanda (Bryan) Maio, Nick (Robin) Pasini, Jason (Nicole) Strilchuk, Karen (Dale) Locheed, Kathy (Bryce) Campbell, Sho Esslinger, and Manaka Esslinger; great-grandchildren, Ava Pasini, Abigail Maio, Maxwell Pasini, Parker Maio, Kayce Strilchuk, and Benjamin Campbell; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Esslinger (Kenzie); his parents, Chris and Millie Esslinger; his siblings, Art (Marie) Esslinger, Ed (Rosa) Esslinger, and Betty (Hans) Vest; he was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Olive Vest, Martin (Beatrice) Kenzie, and Leonard (Marion) Kenzie.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 30 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Albert Catholic Church, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes donations in memory of Fred may be made to the Food Bank.
The family would like to thank Dr. Inyang-Otu and the staff of Miller Crossing Care Centre for their many kindnesses.
