June 1928-December 2020
On December 19, 2020 our beloved Mom, sister, grandma, and great-grandma, Ieleen Gulliford (nee Reinhart) passed away at the age of 92. She has left behind two daughters, Dawn (Gord) and Debra (Mark), her sister Betty, grandchildren Kyle (Joelle) and Kiera, and four great-grandchildren. Ieleen was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Gordon in 2009, as well as four of her five siblings, Gordon, Mervin, Emery, and Dorothy and her parents, Pearl and Melvin.
Ieleen was born in Wiarton, Ontario. In 1947 she met and married Gordon Gulliford in Woodstock, Ontario and in 1959 moved out west to Edmonton. They bought the Westlock Flower Shop in 1965, and 7 years later a farm in the Dapp area, where they spent the next 11 years. Eventually they made their way to St. Albert in 1994.
Ieleen was known for her smile, laughter, generosity, and her devotion to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved music and people, and she was always baking something scrumptious. Ieleen canned her fabulous beets, peaches, carrots, and even Jackfish. She enjoyed working with flowers and often had a needlework project on the go, quilting, cross-stitching, knitting, or crocheting.
We would like to express our gratefulness to all the staff at Shepherd’s Care Kensington, Long Term Care, in Edmonton for their wonderful care over the past six years.
