ISLEY, MARGARET “Peggy”

September 14, 1951 ~ September 27, 2021

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret (Peggy) Isley on September 27, at Pilgrim’s Hospice at the age of 70 following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She will be remembered by her loving husband, Bill; children, Kristiana (Bruce), Dale (Leaira), and Darren (Anneliese and daughter Olivia); grandchildren, Jessica, Kylah, Liam, and Iain.

She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Peggy was born in Calgary, AB on 14 September, 1951. She met her husband Bill in Calgary and they married on 10 October, 1970. They moved to St. Albert in 1976 and soon made it their home. Peggy worked at NAIT for 17 years as the Head of Parking and Security where you could often find her enjoying a coffee in the cafeteria. Later she moved to the U of A as an Operations Manager for the Faculty of Nursing from which she retired. Peggy loved to create, whether through sewing, knitting, stained glass, or baking. She was known for her generosity of time and talent (who didn’t love her cupcake bouquets!) and her care for others.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road NW, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s name may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or Pilgrims Hospice.
