It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Pat at the age of 63, after a brief battle with metastatic cancer.

Pat is survived by his sons, John Kennedy (Taryn) of Calgary, AB and Cole Kennedy of Spruce Grove, AB.  He also leaves behind his mother Noreen Kennedy of St. Albert, AB; sisters Mary Meister (Scott) of St. Albert, AB, Kathleen Nagle, Armstrong, BC; and brother Michael Kennedy (Jennifer), Kamloops, BC.

Uncle Pat will be sadly missed by nieces Haley Doherty (Gary) of Dublin, Ireland, Jennifer Nagle of Armstrong, BC, Nicole Kennedy of Kamloops, BC, Colleen Kennedy of Vancouver, BC; nephew Patrick Nagle of Armstrong, BC; and grandnephews Zachary Doherty of Dublin, Ireland and Liam Kanash of Armstrong, BC.

He will be lovingly remembered by uncles, aunts, cousins and many dear friends.

Pat is predeceased by his father John (Jack) Kennedy and nephew Zachary Meister.

Through the years, the most important part of Pat’s life was family.  He was especially proud to be a supportive father to his sons and warmly appreciated his mom.  Pat leaves a legacy of kindness, charm and sharp wit.  He loved fishing, had a spirit of adventure and was a man of many skills and talents.  Music was significant throughout his life whether he was playing the harmonica, strumming the guitar or mastering the accordion.  Pat appreciated live music and attended shows whenever he could.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 18 at 2:00 PM at St. Albert Funeral Home, Connelly-McKinley, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert. The family extends an invitation for a time to remember Pat at River City Revival House, 10030 102 St NW, Edmonton, AB from 6 - 9 pm. All are welcome.

Burial of Ashes will be held at a later date at Westlawn Cemetery in Cranbrook, BC.

Donations will be gratefully received in Pat’s memory by the Alberta Cancer Foundation – Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 - University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2 or the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation, 201 Boudreau Road, St. Albert, Alberta, T8N 6C4.

The family extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Zalasky of Grandin Clinic, Emergency Department staff, the doctors and all staff of Unit 17 and ICU staff at Sturgeon Community Hospital for exemplary care for our beloved Pat and for the genuine kindness and consideration shown our family.
