With heavy hearts, the family of Edward "Ed" Henry Kohel of St. Albert, Alberta announce his passing on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 67 years.
Ed will be forever loved and greatly missed by his wife and best friend of 26 years, Barbara Kasianiuk; daughter, Lisa (Kelly Hilkewich); son, Scott (Janet); stepsons, Aaron (Holly) Hunka and Roan (Theresa) Hunka; grandchildren, Sam, Auley, Freya, Gemma, Willa, Elle, and Emmett; brother, Glenn; sisters, Joanne and Teresa; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Walter and Joyce; and his sister, Dianne.
Ed was a character who was larger than life itself. The life of every party, it was always a guarantee that the food was plentiful and the drinks were flowing. He had a zest for life and enjoyed travelling, scuba diving, golfing, and making memories with his grandchildren. His passing leaves a void that feels impossible to fill and he will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Papa Ed.
Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Ed's Life was held for family and friends.
