It is with profound grief and with much love that we mourn the passing of Bob Lougheed on February 7, 2024, at 80 years of age with his family lovingly by his side.

His memory will be held closely by his wife of 23 years, Mickey; children: Troy (Leah), Melanie (Rick), Carey and Kimberley; grandchildren: Taylor (Nick), Ryan (Kelli), Trystan, Aniah, Kobe, Romeo, Isabella and Elijah; great grandchildren: Dominik, Scottie and Maverick. As well as his surviving sisters Bette, Marlene and Lois, ex-wife Rachelle, many friends and numerous other family members in Saskatchewan. He is joyfully reunited with his parents Duncan and Thelma, his sisters Valerie and Mavis, brother Ron and his wife Jean.

Bob’s significant accomplishments include 35 years with TransAlta Utilities as a power lineman and 34 years of sobriety with AA whom he credits for saving his life. He also loved farming with the Montpetit family following retirement. His favourite places were on the farmyard at home, 8 ½ miles SE of Kisbey Sask. and the Arcola-Kisbey cemetery where his family is buried. In his memory book he wrote that his greatest inspirations are his children, he wants to be remembered for his honesty, hard work, and love of his family, and if he could live his life over that he would change nothing.

Bob did not wish to have a service so please contact the family for details regarding a celebration of his life. Memorial donations can be made in Bob Lougheed’s name to the Cross Cancer Institute or to the Foyer Lacombe where he received excellent care for the last month of his life.
