We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Margaret Lucille Davison at the age of 90 years. Margaret was born in Souris, Manitoba to Arthur and Ruby Gerow. Margaret completed her BSc in geology at Brandon University and commenced her career as one of the first female petroleum geologists in Calgary. Margaret married Ewart (Al) Davison in Calgary and they lived briefly in Regina before moving to Edmonton and having their children, Carolyn, Allan and Kathryn. Ewart left his job at CCM and soon went on to start his own business called Highlands Sports Shop.

While raising three young children and helping out with the business, Margaret acquired another university degree in Education. She then taught elementary school with her favourite grade being grade six. Margaret then took a sabbatical to earn her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. She worked with gifted children and did contract work until the age of 80.

Both Margaret and Ewart were involved with the Rotary Club and volunteered with the Salvation Army.

Margaret leaves behind son Allan (Kathy) daughter Kathryn (Jonathan), three grandchildren Geoffrey, Ian and Traci and three great grandchildren.

Margaret was predeceased by husband Ewart and daughter Carolyn.

A memorial service will be held in the spring or summer of 2020.

Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Benevolent Care Centre for their loving care and family support during her final days.

Very special thanks to our dear family friend Patti Mcgregor who has always been a beacon of love and support for over 60 years.
