August 15, 1941 – November 17, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Walter on November 17, 2021 at the age of 80 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 52 years, Joan; sons, Peter (Atitiya), Dominick (Heather) and Matthew (Jillian). Walter was blessed with seven grandchildren, Amelia, Sarah, Charlotte, Timothy, Simon, Maria and James. Walter also leaves his brother, Joseph (Kelly) and his sons, Michael and Jordan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins to remember him. Predeceased by his parents, Karol and Olga; sister, Mary and her husband, Nestor.
A man larger than life, he was always “terrific”, positive and encouraging. Walter seemed to be foremost a teacher, generous with his time and thoughts, seeking out solutions and seeing the best in others. He believed hard work was expected and necessary if you wanted to succeed. His legacy of intelligence, wit, sense of humour and kindness will continue to speak for itself.
Known to be especially dedicated to his family, his faith was the cornerstone of his daily life and is reflected in the lives of his children and grandchildren today.
Our hearts are broken because we have been so loved.
