Parenteau, Roger

1952 - 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Parenteau announce his peaceful passing on September 28, 2021. His wife, Kerri Hall and his sons, Vincent and Jonathan Parenteau were at his side.

He is also survived by his stepson, Garrett Feast; brothers, Jack (Diane), Henry (Dawn), Maurice (Karen), Marcel; sisters, Yvonne (Peter) Chapelsy, Denise and MaryAnne (Rabie) as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of which were truly loved and cherished by "Rocking Rog".

He was predeceased by his parents, Jeannette (nee St. Arneault) and Albert Parenteau, well as brothers: Lucien, Johnny, Raymond and Rene; sisters, Aline (Roy), Louise (Wagner) and Lorette (Waddell).

Roger was born in St. Paul, Alberta and grew up on the family farm in nearby Mallaig.  He was trained as a licensed mechanic and held many jobs related to that field. More recently, he owned and operated Rogers Towing in St. Albert, AB until he retired in 2007.

Roger had a passion for camping and made sure his boys were camping with him at every opportunity. Most of his siblings, nieces and nephews, and best buds: Burt Hurtubise, Norman Dubois, John Kuprys and their families, spent countless hours sharing meals, telling stories and jokes around firepits that burned long into the night.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Roger's life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers or donations to charity, spend time with your loved ones and friends and make the most of life.
