Duncan Robertson, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather with immeasurable resilience and an indomitable spirit, passed away in peace and grace on October 15, 2023.

Raised in Kipling, Saskatchewan, Duncan traveled the world before moving to Alberta and meeting the love of his life, whom he married on October 19, 1968.  Duncan spent much of his spare time actively involved in the upbringing of his three sons, coaching all three in either minor hockey or soccer at some point in their young lives.  Following his retirement as a successful CA CPA, Duncan found immense joy gardening, taking long walks with his doggies in Red Willow Park and Riverlot 56, and fulfilling frequent requests of, “Grampa, can you take us to the playground?”

Duncan is survived by his wife and best friend, Phyllis; sons Trevor, Murray, and Richard (Charlotte); grandchildren Jack, Jamie, and Anna; and canine companion, Buck.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 75 Poirier Avenue, St. Albert, to be immediately followed by a casual get together in the Holy Family Parish Hall.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.

“In the arms of the angels, our hero rests.”
