Sware, Sterling

May 15, 1971- February 10, 2022

It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Sterling Sware. He passed away with his loving wife, Kristi, and their daughters Maddi and Katie by his side. He unfortunately passed away from complications due to an infection.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Mary Ann; sisters, Pam and Tracey (Merv) and their families; in-laws, Jim and Trudi and their families; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, the family cat “Meatball”, and his best friend and cousin, Chris.

Sterling was predeceased by his father, William (Bill).

Sterling loved sports, especially playing golf at one of his favorite locations, Trestle Creek Golf Resort. He was an avid camper who loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed sitting around the campfire with friends and family enjoying a Budweiser. Sterling was a loving father and husband who was dedicated to his family and a loyal friend to many. May we always remember his booming voice, his sarcastic remarks, and his lovable, stubborn and teddy-bear like personality.

The family would like to thank the surgeons, doctors, and nurses at the Royal Alex ICU Department for their caring dedication and compassion while dealing with his illness. A big thank you to all the family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers for all their love, support, and prayers.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so, may send donations in Sterlings memory to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 19th, 2022, at the St.Albert Inn and Suites, 156 St. Albert Trail, St. Albert, in the Grandin Room. As Sterling was an avid sportsman we ask you to come wearing a team jersey or a golf shirt.
