LETTER: Taxpayers should have a say on 5G

letter-sta

I would like to thank Carolyn Saunders, for her recent letter to the gazette about her concerns regarding 5G technology. I also read the original letter by Leroy Latta a few weeks ago, expressing his concerns over the rollout of 5G. I have been concerned about this too. When I first read Leroy's letter, I phoned St. Albert city council to find out the truth - is 5G being rolled out in St. Albert and if so, who is making this decision? I was basically told that the city does not have any say in this decision; that it is at a federal level. I was redirected to the government of Canada, so I phoned them, was punted around to several other departments, and still arrived with no answers. This is a very concerning matter, for which we deserve answers. There is evidence about the detrimental health effects of 5G, especially on those most vulnerable. For example, Frank Clegg, the former president of Microsoft Canada, with over 40 years experience in the technology sector, warns about the dangers of 5G. I urge people to do their own research and decide for themselves. Bottom line is we need to know the truth behind this. Further, we the taxpaying citizens of St. Albert deserve to have a voice in the decision about whether this potentially dangerous technology is going ahead in our own city.
