Albertans, take arms, shoot off letters and make phone calls if you need replacement knees or hips or cataract surgery.
Fire off letters, phone calls to your MLA, health minister and premier. MLAs don’t like meeting with you.
Tell them your pain level (on a scale of one to 10) and how long you have been waiting. They need shots from you.
Remember that the knee and hip transplant program was started with money from a private citizen. There is a plaque on the wall of the University of Alberta Hospital front entrance.
Not everyone needing these transplants is in their 80s either.
It’s in your hands, Albertans, whether you decide to fire off letters, phone call or see your MLA.
And I don’t need a transplant.
