Council would listen to more voices

Where were you when the town hall meeting was taking place?

Almost every week you read about disgruntled residents complaining about high taxes. When an opportunity arises to come face-to-face with our mayor and councillors, the turnout is disgraceful. The mayor and councillors figure this is easy; the residents really don’t care enough to turn out. So we get more of the same.

When you, the residents, are willing to take the time to attend a meeting, then and only then will you see change. Let’s not grow weary of doing good and demanding that our mayor and councillors do the same. Let this city be a centre for all people in all wage brackets — especially our young and seniors.

We have to build a system that is sustainable. At this time, we are heading in the other direction! Let common sense rule!
