Councill needs to control expenses, not spend more

I am aware that many leaders today feel obliged to provide visions and goals for the future. Our mayor has past experience in the corporate sector.

In the corporate world, leaders usually only spend money if their enterprise makes money or with the initiation of debt instruments. Our legislators seem to forget that their only major source of funds is the citizens’ pocketbooks.

I want to remind the mayor and councillors that St. Albert tax bills are "plenty high" and our administrators would be more appreciated for controlling expenses rather than initiating capital expenditures. Let's hope the visioning crystal ball gets dropped and smashed!
