It's a citizen's duty to report crime

I have lived in St. Albert for approximately 24 years and love it here. It seems much more small town-ish than Edmonton and a good safe place to raise a family and grow old.

I have lived in St. Albert for approximately 24 years and love it here. It seems much more small town-ish than Edmonton and a good safe place to raise a family and grow old.

On June 19 in the parking lot of Village Landing, close to Save-On-Foods, someone decided to vandalize my silver 2004 Volvo convertible. They kicked in the passenger door and broke the mirror … $2,000 damage. I do not know what they were thinking or what motive they could have for doing this. Were they jealous of the car? I worked really hard to save the money to buy this car — second-hand — and try very hard to keep it as nice as possible.

Needless to say I was heartsick, and $2,000 out of my own pocket is a lot of money. Surely someone saw this person do this deed. If you did and even want to remain anonymous, it has been reported to the RCMP here in St. Albert. You want to call there and cask for Const. Choo. She is handling the case. I am hoping a good person here in St. Albert would do this, and if it leads to an arrest, I would be willing to give a reward.

Please keep our beautiful city safe. Report crimes. It is up to all of us.
