The concept of revitalizing downtown seems to be somewhat counterproductive when city council continues to develop the north and south ends of St. Albert with box stores, which provide virtually one-stop shopping. Where does city hall think people are really going to shop?

I guess the main question I have is what is the price tag for this vision and could the money be spent on more basic projects like road repair, lower taxes, seniors, etc? There surely must be an end in sight to how many times this council will reach into our pockets for additional tax dollars.

Perhaps the mayor would like to take on a popular project and reduce taxes and ensure that basic infrastructures are maintained.
