Seasons Gift Shop is one of a kind

Dara Lee Paul and Jenny Pyshniak are celebrating their business’ win of the Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Gift Shop in St. Albert for Seasons Gift Shop. Having just taken over the business in 2018 from the founder, the two are clearly succeeding and excited with the win.

Seasons Gift Shop was a perfect match for their talents and entrepreneurial spirit, and they’ve found incredible joy in running their own business.

“Our customers are amazing – it is so wonderful to have fun with them – we enjoy that immensely. We love being able to provide a unique shopping experience and we love that each customer has something special they are looking for. We strive to fulfill all of our customers' gifting needs,” say the owners.

Their vast array of products ensures that anyone can find what they are looking for, from one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces to clothing, and the “funniest cards in town,” according to the duo.

Seasons Gift Shop has been competitive in its industry for over 18 years with previous wins in this category. With complimentary wrapping services, friendly staff and unique gift ideas, it’s no wonder.

“We are a super fun place to be,” says Paul. “Many of our clients refer to our (their) store as their ‘happy place.’ ”

Being involved in the community is important to them, whether they are supporting local businesses and talent, or giving back. “We are introducing pop-up shows that will feature local artisans as well as introducing classes on various things that will be interesting to our customers. We have a monthly draw and donate on a monthly basis to fundraisers.”

So, what is it that makes Seasons Gift Shop such a different shopping experience? First of all, their products are carefully selected with their consumers in mind, and secondly, they appreciate those consumers who just want to browse alone and are happy to let them discover the space on their own.
