Landrex Provides Platinum Sponsorship of an Annual Slo-Pitch Tournament

Since 2014, the St. Albert KidSport chapter has funded more than $110,000 in sport registration fees, giving hundreds of children access to sports.

The Landrex owners and team live, work and play in St. Albert, and enjoy giving back to the community in a variety of ways, including being a platinum sponsor for the 6th Annual Tyler Bunz Get Kids Playing Slo-Pitch Tournament.Former Medicine Hat Tiger and Edmonton Oiler goalie Tyler Bunz started this tournament to support KidSport in St. Albert. He agreed with the non-profit organization’s mandate that all kids should have the opportunity to play organized sports. Since 2014, the St. Albert KidSport chapter has funded more than $110,000 in sport registration fees, and has given hundreds of children access to sports they would otherwise not be able to play. Last year, 146 children in St. Albert received KidSport sponsorships.Larry Andrews, the owner and CEO of Landrex, received a Canada’s Volunteer Award in 2016 from the Government of Canada in recognition of his family’s continued demonstration of social responsibility. Andrews believes that success in business goes hand-in-hand with helping others. It is for this reason that Landrex and the Andrews family is sponsoring the 6th Annual Get Kids Playing Slo Pitch Tournament.The Andrews family understands the importance of sports in a child’s life, and looks forward to continuing to supporting the well-being of families in the communities Landrex develops. They also greatly enjoy giving back to the communities that have supported Landrex’s growth and development over the years.Landrex’s support of the 6th Annual Tyler Bunz Get Kids Playing Slo-Pitch Tournament will directly and positively impact children in St. Albert that face barriers to playing organized sports. The event will take place at Meadowview Diamonds on July 21-22, where 16 teams will come together for a fun-filled weekend in support of a great cause.
