Hit and run

On Dec. 12, at approximately 7:25 a.m., a green Honda Accord was stopped at a red light, waiting to make a left turn from Oakmont Drive (westbound) onto Bellerose Drive (southbound). When the light turned green, the Honda Accord proceeded to execute the left turn when it was hit from behind by a white truck. The white truck then fled northbound on Bellerose Drive. The Honda Accord's rear bumper was damaged in the incident. The suspect vehicle is described as an older two-door GMC truck, regular size box, white in colour.

Break and enter in Lacombe Park

On Dec. 5, between 4 and 9 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a home on Lancaster Crescent, through the rear sliding door. The suspects(s) stole numerous rings, bracelets, watches, earrings, a tablet and an undisclosed amount of Canadian and South African currency. It was determined that the unknown suspect(s) tried numerous back entrances to homes all the way back to Lacombe Lake Park.

Break and enter in Mission area

Between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2, a residence located on Mission Avenue was broken into. Unknown person(s) entered the vacant home, possibly showering inside before leaving. A black, 40-inch, flat-screen television and a mattress cover were taken from the residence.

Break-in and vandalism

On Nov. 23rd, between 8:30 and 9 p.m. unknown person(s) entered the detached garage of 55 Balmoral Dr. The suspect(s) caused damage to the driver's side headlight of one of the parked vehicles by burning it with a propane torch. The other vehicle parked in the garage was damaged more extensively when the suspect(s) set fire to miscellaneous papers that had been in the cab of the truck. The fire appears to have gotten out of control and spread within the cab of the truck. It was extinguished before the owner entered the garage.

Damages are estimated in excess of $5,000. The suspect(s) also made off with a small amount of change from the vehicles.

Break and enter in Lacombe Park

On Nov. 19, between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., a home located on Lancaster Crescent was broken into. Unknown suspect(s) ransacked the home and stole a Rolex diamond watch and several pieces of jewelry. Total loss estimated at $25,000.

Gas and dash

On Nov. 16, at approximately 9:55 a.m. an unknown male proceeded to fill a light green mini van with $62.26 of fuel at the Esso gas station, located on Giroux Road. The male did not pay for the fuel and fled westbound on Giroux.

The male driver was wearing a long, white-sleeve shirt, dark pants and a baseball cap. The passenger was wearing a bright yellow hoodie and dark coloured baseball cap.

The store clerk did obtain a licence plate number for the mini van but the plate attached was stolen out of Grande Prairie, Alta.

Hit and run

On Oct. 28 at approximately 3:15 p.m. a white Ford Focus was in the left turn lane, southbound on St. Albert Trail at Bellerose Drive. The Ford Focus yielded for the yellow light and was hit from behind by a grey or silver SUV, possibly a Jeep Compass or Jeep Liberty. The female driver of the SUV agreed to meet the driver of the Ford Focus in the Safeway parking lot to exchange information but proceeded to drive away eastbound on Bellerose Drive, not stopping in the parking lot.

The female driver of the SUV is described as a petite blonde, between 28 and 34 years old.

Theft from retail business

On Aug. 9 at approximately 4:50 p.m., a male and a female entered Source for Sports located at 580 St. Albert Tr. The female grabbed a signed Nugent-Hopkins Oilers jersey, stuffed it in her bag and the couple took off out of the store.

The hockey jersey is valued at $500.

The female is described as Caucasian, 30 to 40 years, sandy blonde shoulder length hair, wearing a white top. The male is described as Caucasian, 30 to 40 years, shaved head, wearing a blue shirt.
