Police are asking for the public's assistance to locate a missing St. Albert teen.

Selah Smith, 15, went missing after leaving her family home on Friday, June 8. She talked to a friend on a smart phone application called ‘snapchat’ since, on the evening of June 17. Snapchat is a video messaging service.

Smith is described as Caucasian, 5-feet, 5-inches tall, and weighing 120 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair that may now be dyed blond. She might be wearing shorts and a hoodie or a grey shirt and leggings, and often carries a long purse.

Smith was also reported missing on June 6 but returned to her family home the next day. Police do not think anything is suspicious about her disappearance. But there is general concern for her well-being. Police need to locate and speak with her in person as soon as possible.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.
