An open letter to the community from the Kemps family:
When we first were given the devastating news, we could have never guessed the unbelievable support we would receive from the community in just two short weeks. We are afraid we will miss someone in our short thank-you letter but our gratitude goes out to all.
We want to graciously thank both sets of parents who have been there every step of the way during this difficult time.
Special thanks goes out to Shawn Burry and the Dragon Ladies, Sandy Dixon, Jane Kumish, Suzanne Muller, Kathy Burry, Danielle Pawlychka and their husbands, along with Don Letaine, his sons and friends who worked the bar.
Also the relatives friends and neighbours who volunteered their time and pounded the pavement for the numerous donations.
To all the local businesses that were kind enough to donate all the auction items — thank you.
To Greg Symbaluk and the super bands for a great evening of entertainment.
To Glen Wesley and Boston Pizza, and all our friends who provided the food and drink for the evening.
To all the people who have sent numerous meals to our home.
Finally to all the people that have donated funds to us, know that they will be used wisely for the fight ahead of us.
