Dear small pet owners,
My name is Wile E. Coyote. My fellow coyote friends and I live in the river valley and wooded areas very near to your homes.
It's really not people taking your pets.
Unfortunately for you, when your small animals are out and about unprotected, I consume them as I don’t know any better. I am always on the lookout for food – it’s just my nature. Living where you do makes your little loved ones something we in the animal world call “prey.”
Let me take a guess: there haven’t been many rottweilers, German shepherds or standard poodles missing in your neighbourhood. In the animal world, they are considered an “equal match.”
My advice: If you want me to leave your pets alone, keep them safe with you or in your home.
