Candidates need plan to attract family docs

With a fall election pending it would be interesting to hear some discussion from current council members and others standing for election on the issue of St. Albert's lack of family physicians.

With a fall election pending it would be interesting to hear some discussion from current council members and others standing for election on the issue of St. Albert's lack of family physicians.

Population increases, the aging demographic and the fact that several long-time physicians are approaching a well-deserved retirement has put this issue before us. People are looking outside our community for doctors or using emergency departments and walk-in clinics for their medical needs. What has been planned at this point by our current city council to attract physicians and what are other communities doing?
