Charter protects religious views too

Re: "Religious-based arguments about marriage still don't make sense," Gazette, Sept. 1. Lee Pasternak, I do not appreciate the fact that people are still trying to convince religious people that their religions are wrong.

Lee Pasternak, I do not appreciate the fact that people are still trying to convince religious people that their religions are wrong. Just because someone believes something different than you does not give you the right to cut it apart.

Maybe there has never been scientific proof of God, but God is not something that is proven, but something that is believed. Religion is based on faith and faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

You said it yourself, according to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, we are free to believe in whichever religion we choose.
