The city dog run should be located in a place that does not inconvenience residential properties. The perfect location would be on Villeneuve Road behind the recycling area.
I have suggested this site to city officials and they responded, saying that the area was not zoned for that purpose. My question to the city is was the area along Lavasseur Road zoned for the purpose of a parking lot and a dog run? The cost would be considerably less with no residential interference. A few loads of gravel and some fencing and there it is.
I would also ask the city to put in a self-serve type of payment system so that it is a user pay venue.
