Drugs are always a poor choice

Shortly after 9 a.m. I heard a commotion outside my home office and checked it out. Four teenage boys were there and proceeded to pull joints from their pockets. They lit up and continued on to school.

Shortly after 9 a.m. I heard a commotion outside my home office and checked it out. Four teenage boys were there and proceeded to pull joints from their pockets.

They lit up and continued on to school. I know the smell of marijuana and feel sorry for their teachers. These young people are getting very little education and I can only guess where they are getting the drugs from.

Rich and poor all have to deal with this problem. The rich support their children, and the poor find other ways to buy drugs. That is a fact of life here in St. Albert. I have been here for 20 years and have seen it all. Parents: step back and take a deep look into your kids' activities. I have no children but notice a lot of activities going on in my neighbourhood. Kids lie; it's a fact of life. We all did it as we grew up, but drugs are a serious issue. I am not a prude, as I tried a few drugs growing up, but did not like having no control of my actions. Kids: please reconsider the outcome of taking drugs. If all your friends do it maybe it is time to look for new ones that are clean and still have a lot of fun.
