I agree with resident Brian Johnson and Mayor Nolan Crouse in regards to prohibiting the electric scooters from city bike trails for obvious safety reasons.

The residential street system in St. Albert makes such a ban feasible, yet still allows electric scooter users to easily get around town. I also feel that these scooters (electric assisted bikes exempt) should be required to have a licence plate and valid insurance, and that operators hold a valid driver's licence, to keep underage and/or inexperienced people from using them unless a mandatory course has been passed (it would be very similar to a motorcycle test).
