Harper should listen to the House

Is Prime Minister Stephen Harper unaware that a majority decision of the House of Commons is the law of the land? To refuse to direct the government to obey the will of Parliament is an attack upon parliamentary democracy.

Is Prime Minister Stephen Harper unaware that a majority decision of the House of Commons is the law of the land?

To refuse to direct the government to obey the will of Parliament is an attack upon parliamentary democracy. Harper is an officer of Parliament and sworn to uphold it. The prime minister is not entitled to decide which laws the government will follow; Parliament decides.

Harper's continuing assertions, that his judgment gives him a right to defy Parliament's explicit will is a dereliction of his oath of office almost to the point of being treasonable. It's time he accede forthwith to both the Speaker's judgment and the will of Parliament or step down.
