Hearts and prayers are with McCann family

I'm a senior who lives in Edmonton and was out visiting in St. Albert a few weeks ago. My friend and I were discussing the McCanns and how terribly sad it is.

Our thought is that if a woman all by herself was stuck on the highway with a broken down vehicle, the kind hearts of the couple may have possessed them to stop and help. After all, how dangerous could a lady be that's alone, right?

There are times when you just have to follow your heart and help someone that's in trouble. I'm sure we've all done it, I know I have and I can remember my kids not being very happy over it.

Something similar to this scenario could have taken place, maybe even as close as St. Albert city limits. Those poor people may not have stopped on their own, someone could have been standing right there in front of them on the highway and they had no choice but to stop.

It is so sad that our world has come to this. We can never, never let our guard down, not for a moment. Remember to keep your car and motorhome doors locked as you travel along.

I have personally been praying for the couple to be found.

My heart goes out to that poor family. You will continue to be in my prayers.
