I would like to thank the city for the beautiful new pathway around the west side of city hall, and for making it possible for all the local merchants to have beautiful flower arrangements downtown.
It would be nice if next year we could take visitors who come for the 150th birthday celebrations for a stroll around downtown along the river and to have benches on both sides, to take a break and enjoy the view.
It would be difficult to see the river for the waist-high weeds, but then again the river isn't great to look at with all that slime and pollution.
Wishful thinking? Could some of the money allotted for the 150th be spent on benches, weed removal and river clean-up?
Here's hoping that city hall will see a need, besides myself.
