Put your name on your letters

Recently there have been letters printed in the St. Albert Gazette where the name of the contributor has been withheld. I do not agree with this. If you have something to say and want to broadcast this to others, give your name.

I do not agree with this. If you have something to say and want to broadcast this to others, give your name. Withholding the name implies that you are not prepared to be held accountable for your opinions or statements, nor bear the consequences.

Anonymous complaints bear no fruit, nor should letters sent to the editor. In fact the paper should have a policy of not printing letters without the name and address also printed.
