I now know why it is called St. Albert Trail — because it’s like travelling on a wagon trail!
We moved here eight years ago when the streets were paved and the boulevards mowed. Now you rumble your way to work on streets that were torn up a year ago and repaired by dumping cold asphalt patches in the potholes.
Council will however be looking at spending money on a new downtown redevelopment plan that “would split the area into four character areas while boosting density, changing traffic patterns and embracing the Sturgeon River as a focal point,” Just make sure you have good shocks on your vehicle on your way to the focal point.
Our mayor said, “leaders have to have guts to have a vision.” Well mine are shaken every time I’m on St. Albert Trail.
