Taking boy's shoes was no prank

My nine-year-old son got new shoes on Friday. He bought them himself with his birthday money and picked out a sharp pair of high tops.

He was so proud of them, he wore them to bed, and to his swimming class on Sunday at Fountain Park pool (you can see where this is going). Upon picking him up after his class, his shoes were missing. Imagine my surprise when I reported the loss and the girl told me they were the fourth pair stolen Sunday. So my poor son is now shoeless and sockless.

Parents, if your child shows up with a pair of Nike high tops, white with a blue swoosh and orange laces and an orange Velcro strap, size three, please bring them back to the pool. Kids, if you took them by mistake, or as a joke, bring them back to the pool. My son has cold feet and a broken heart.
