Junior golf results

The table is set for three St. Albert golfers at the Alberta Junior Championship after last weekend’s performance in High River.

Podium finishes by Brooke and Belle Brezovski, and Ethan Wilson at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour's Alberta Junior Championship Preview at the Highwood links bodes well for the Glendale members at the same course.

At the provincial preview event, Brooke carded a personal-best 68 in her final round in the 15 to 18 division to force a playoff with MacKenzie Baustad of Calgary as both finished with two-day scores of 146.

The playoff was decided in the fourth extra hole.

Baustad, 16, had built up a six-shot lead after the first round with a 72 while Brooke, 15, shot a 78.

Belle, 14, placed third in the U15 division with a total of 168 (83-85).

The winner was Georgia Barr, 14, of Calgary at 161 (84-77).

In the bantam male division, Wilson carded a pair of 74s to place second behind the 146 (74-72) by Brandin Stahl, 14, of Priddis.
