Re: Our View, ‘Moral Bylaw a Step in the Wrong Direction,’ Gazette, Sept. 4. Not all discrimination is bad. Most of us discriminate in what we will wear, what we will eat, where we will live and how we will behave.

Re: "Motorists too cavalier about pedestrians," St. Albert Gazette, Aug. 28, 2010. It seems that everyone could do with a refresher on the rules of the road, whether they be a pedestrian or someone on wheels.

The Sturgeon River, as it runs through St. Albert, is badly in need of rejuvenation. There is no oxygen in the water, caused by the riverbanks falling into the water. Storm drains and old dumps seep into the water, among other garbage.

I am a 15-year-old boy and I cannot drive. My mom worked most of the summer from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. so being the teenager I am, I woke up around 11 each morning and didn't know what to do with the afternoon considering I didn't have a ride anywhere.

I read with some interest the article in the August 25 edition of the Gazette where Sturgeon County council voted unanimously to defer a vote on the request from the St.

An oilsands study was recently reported by David Schindler from the University of Alberta.

I see very little in the Rendezvous 2011 committee's calendar that reflects St. Albert's history.

As spokesperson for the St. Albert Taxpayers Association (SATA), I feel compelled to respond to statements contained in Reuben Kaufman’s letter, ‘Tax watchdog needs to stand for something,’ Aug. 25 Gazette.

In 2007 Keenooshayo Elementary School built a new playground. As chair of the playground committee I am taking the recent events at Keenooshayo quite personally. A couple of weeks ago vandalism reared its ugly head behind Keenooshayo.

With a fall election pending it would be interesting to hear some discussion from current council members and others standing for election on the issue of St. Albert's lack of family physicians.
